With a surname like Loft there was only some many lines of business our family could go into and we are now the third generation of expert roofers. Loft & Sons stated working on industrial roofs in the 1950s but have rolled with the times and now work much more frequently on residential roofs.
We used to go by the motto of "If you have a roof we can repair it" but we have recently changed that to the far less catchy "If you have a roof we can fix or convert it" – it no longer rolls off the tongue but it does reflect what we do much more accurately.
In the last 15 years we have found that we are doing almost as much property conversion work as emergency repairs and have converted lofts, attics, garages and basements in all kinds of properties.
Our website is relatively new, it is the work of the newest generation of Lofts in an attempt to drag us into the 21st century, however, it is testament to us that we have been in business since 1950 with very little advertising or web presence trading purely off word of mouth and referrals!
