The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Day 4: Lake Eyasi Hadzabe and Bushmen Cultural Tour

Today it’s time to interact with the African Safari, who live in groups hunting with bow and arrows and gathering roots, tubers, and wild fruits much as humankind lived in the Stone Age. We will get an in-depth look at how they continue to survive and how they adapt to their harsh environment and the challenges they face to continue this nomadic existence. The Datoga tribe are blacksmiths, a trade developed over centuries and still practiced in varying much the same way today. They produce the arrowheads for the Hadzabe and brass trinkets, some of which will be for sale by the maker himself. Late afternoon transfer to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater.
