Seeking to adopt a child through private adoption requires a high level of commitment. It is not something that can usually be done in secrecy. The letter should inform people of your desire to adopt and tell a little bit about your story. You should ask people to keep you in mind and to let you know if they become aware of a possible adoption situation. This something people are generally quite willing to do.
