However, concerns have been raised about the potential negative impact of these changes within the McGuinness Boulevard Plan. Critics argue that the McGuinness Boulevard Plan could lead to increased traffic, disrupt residents, delay emergency vehicles, and harm the local economy, businesses, and employees. A grassroots movement called "Keep McGuinness Moving" has gathered over 5,300 online petition signatures and received over 800 statements opposing the proposed McGuinness Boulevard Plan redesign option, known as "Road Diet."
